Gas dispersion

Gas dispersion with the ISO-MIX Mixing Technology

In many industrial processes gases are dispersed in liquid.

Examples of applications include carbonation (by adding CO2), aeration (by adding air), oxygenation (by adding O2), pH adjustment (by adding CO2), deaeration (by stripping with N2 or CO2) plus many others.

Present technologies for dispersing gasses in tanks use equipment dedicated for this task like ring spargers, diffusers or specialized impellers.

If an ISO-MIX Rotary Jet Head is installed in the tank the same machine can be used for gas dispersion simply by adding the gas in the recirculation loop on the pressure side of the pump (to avoid cavitations).

The ISO-MIX Rotary Jet Head has proven to be very effective for this application due to the formation of very small bubbles leading to high mass transfer.

In short the advantages can be summed up to:

• Effective performance (high mass transfer)
• Lower investment as no additional equipment is needed
• Better sanitary level of the tank due to more simple internals
