From round pumping to the ISO-MIX Mixing Technology

Many process tanks where only limited mixing is required have been equipped with a round-pumping loop to ensure some level of mixing in the tank.

The advantage of this system is low initial costs, however, the mixing efficiency is notoriously inadequate, often with a “short-circuit” between inlet and outlet.

If it is established that more efficient mixing is required, an ISO-MIX system can with great success be employed in combination with the existing round-pumping loop. The ISO-MIX jet head is placed in the center of the tank, at a depth that ensures that it is fully submersed when the tank is full. The liquid to be mixed is pumped into the tank through the ISO-MIX system, which greatly improves the efficiency of the process.

The ISO-MIX system can be mounted without any modifications of the tank. It is not necessary to weld on a new mixer flange, or to make other arrangements to absorb the weight and physical forces from the mixing equipment.
